I wasn't sure what to put in a #PimpMyBio Pitchwars Author Page but then decided I'd go back to the beginning. I'm a little late to the party seeing as #PitchWars comes to an end in three days, but...better late than never, right? I know these aren't mandatory, per Christopher Keelty's helpful insights found here: https://www.facebook.com/viralvidss/videos/377511862456521/. I figured it would be fun to tackle, and a platform to show some of my interests and quirks outside of my current writing project, and my love for romance and reading.
Believe it or not, my first stories were inspired by lyrics & music of singer/songwriter Darren Hayes.

Basically, I've been head over heels with Savage Garden / Darren Hayes since first ever hearing the lyrics to I Want You grace Z95.3 radio waves. I've been following his music ever since.
Isn't it beautiful? I still love it to pieces. It was these romantic lyrics that inspired my very first attempt at writing fiction: Utter Chaos, which initially began as a 'continue the story' thread on a fan fiction site #BackInTheDay. From the single paragraph I added there, it was as if I blinked and suddenly found myself at the beginning of an entire story. The cursor was blinking, waiting for me to start filling in the words, to write the entire story leading up to that paragraph (which occurs about 3/4 into Utter Chaos) and beyond. So that's what I did.
Before long, I was frantically writing not one, but three different stories. From the glowing reviews I was receiving, asking me if why I wasn't already published...*Pffft*. Meanwhile, the thought had never crossed my mind. I wanted to learn more and enrolled into creative writing at Douglas College. And well, heaps happened between then and now, some of which you can catch up through my blog posts, so I won't reiterate. In short, all roads led me here. I'm finally pursuing dreams of becoming a published author! Eventually I will re-post a fully edited version of Utter Chaos on Watt Pad, to share the beginning of my writing journey with everyone! And, as a reminder for myself of how far my muse and I have come. One thing at a time though. ;)
